Abstract:
Information is one of the vital assets of any Business Organization. The information domain encompasses all the 3 levels of Business Organization i.e its vitality from operational to strategic point of view. Business Intelligence is harnessing the capabilities of IT ITES for global business solutions. Effective lnHouse Implementation of Business Intelligence in the ITES sector leads to sustainability growth of Business. Today voluminous data is generated at an exponential rate, which is in the unstructured form and demands the technological advances for the appropriate processing of the raw data. John Naisbitt wrote __doublequotosingWe are drowning in information but starved for knowledge__doublequotosing in one of his 1982 book Megatrends. The state-of-the-art study has modified it as __doublequotosingToday, we are drowning in Data and starved for Information__doublequotosing. Business Intelligence (Bl) is the technique of processing and transforming the raw data into meaningful information that produces new insights and supports the high-end decision-making to yield real business benefits. This new emerging technique helps to improve applications in enterprise systems and industrial informatics. The current paper will help in understanding how competitive advantage is achieved using Business Intelligence and what are the loopholes associated with it so as to eliminate them thereby facilitating further the Business operations in further expansion development. Present study will cover different evidential aspects of Business Intelligence implementation pertaining to the Global Business Environment in some of the key service industries in Information
Technology Enabled Services (ITES) sector in and around Pune (such as Banking, Healthcare, Insurance and Telecom) considering the similarities of functional requirements. The respondents are the CIO__ampersandsign#39;s / CIU__ampersandsign#39;s (Chief Information Officer__ampersandsign#39;s / User__ampersandsign#39;s) who rely heavily on the data for Business Processes to function properly. In the data driven technology, Data is at the heart of every organization, where Bl allows the intelligent transformations to have decision-support insights for cost effective solutions.
