Author: Prof. Patel Sazia Yusuf
Category: General Management
Abstract:
The ‘Make in India’ is an initiative launched to encourage domestic and multinational companies to increase manufacturing in India. This won't just pull in organizations from beyond the borders but additionally expand the production inside the nation. The initiative will improve the ease of doing business in India and increase transparency. Except for sectors like space, defense and news media, government has allowed 100% FDI for other sectors. Government has also decided to improve and protect the intellectual property rights of innovators and creators by using state-of-the-art technology. The vision is to increase manufacturing sector growth to 12-14% per annum over the medium term, increase the share of manufacturing in the country's Gross Domestic Product from 16% to 25% by 2022, create 100 million additional jobs by 2022 in manufacturing sector.
“Make in India’ campaign would create lakhs of jobs and give impetus to the growth of the economy,"(Union Minister of State for Labour and Employment Bandaru Dattatreya). Kalraj Mishra, the Union Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) had launched NiesbudNaukri.com a job portal especially targeted for the skilled, unemployed professional.
